You probably will not be surprised to hear that all plans for the 2020 Clifton Campville Country Fair have been put on hold. We had intended to make it a memorable event this year with a 20 years celebration of the Millennium Green. When the news of the coronavirus first filtered through we had hoped to arrange a scaled down event, or to postpone until late summer.

However, having again reviewed the situation, the three organisations involved (the Millennium Green Trust, the Village Hall Management Committee and St Andrew’s Church) have reluctantly, but inevitably concluded that there will be no Country Fair this year. We know that many will be disappointed but we take our responsibilities to our volunteers, stall holders, performers, and the people who support us every year, very seriously.

We urge everyone to follow the evolving advice given by the government and NHS and wish everyone all the best in these unprecedented times.

I would like to thank everyone for their support to date and to ask them to note the proposed date for next year - Saturday 12th June 2021.

Thank you and stay safe, Sue Wadham

Next Country Fair Saturday 12th June 2021

What a fantastic day was had by all – despite the “Summer” weather putting a damper on things!
The Circus Workshop – Code Red - had a “tall order” to entertain the children – but stilts helped & many giggles ensued!
The ‘Hook a Duck’ stalls didn’t go short of water & the ducks enjoyed themselves immensely!  Paint Balling with The Mercian Regiment was great fun too.  Copious amounts of Food (both hot & cold) & drink (from ‘The Big Red Bus’) was consumed, together with mouth-watering cakes from the "Coffee Shop" Cake stall - no diets in evidence that day!!
‘The Red Barrows’ & the BBMF Lancaster will return next year – remember the date - 13 June 2020.  Yep, the committee is thinking about next year already!

Hosted by Clifton’s very own Rob ‘Beardy’ Light.
The sun eventually popped-out as the stars of the music show arrived!
The audience enthusiastically welcomed and enjoyed - Jimmy Eff, Sheena Vultaggio (New Country Singer/Songwriter), Inside Information (Acoustic Classic Rock, Country & Originals) & back by popular demand - Kirsty Clarke (AKA as Indie Mama).
Watch this space for ‘Live on the Green’ 2020!
